Thriving Together – Part 3

Welcome to the third part of this 3 part series!

Boosting Productivity and Morale: Working in isolation can be demotivating for small business owners and their teams. Shared office spaces provide a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere that promotes productivity and boosts morale. The sense of belonging to a community can be a powerful motivator, encouraging individuals to collaborate, share ideas, and celebrate collective successes.

Conclusion:

In the competitive landscape of small business, shared office spaces have emerged as a lifeline, offering a cost-effective, collaborative, and flexible solution for entrepreneurs. As the business world continues to evolve, small enterprises can position themselves for success by embracing the opportunities presented by shared office spaces. By thriving together in these communal environments, small businesses can overcome obstacles, foster innovation, and embark on a path towards sustained growth and prosperity.

    Thriving Together – Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of our 3 part series ‘Thriving Together’.

Professional Image: Establishing a professional image is crucial for small businesses looking to attract clients, partners, and investors. Shared office spaces provide a polished and well-equipped environment that elevates the perception of a business. Access to meeting rooms, reception services, and other shared amenities allows small enterprises to present themselves in a manner that instills confidence and credibility in their stakeholders.

Flexibility and Scalability: The business landscape is ever-evolving, and small enterprises need the flexibility to adapt quickly. Shared office spaces offer scalability options, allowing businesses to adjust their space requirements based on their current needs. Whether expanding or downsizing, small businesses can easily navigate changes within the existing space.

    Breaking Down Barriers

One of the most significant advantages of shared spaces is their ability to break down barriers and foster a sense of inclusivity. Traditional office structures often compartmentalize employees into separate offices or cubicles, hindering the flow of communication and collaboration. Shared workspaces, on the other hand, encourage interaction and idea exchange, leading to a more vibrant and innovative work environment.

In communal living spaces, residents from diverse backgrounds come together to create a microcosm of society. This diversity fosters understanding, tolerance, and a rich tapestry of experiences that contribute to a more vibrant community. The shared space model challenges the conventional notion of isolated living, emphasizing the benefits of collective engagement and mutual support.

Shared Office – Sustainability and Financially Advantageous

    Sustainability and Resource Optimization:

Shared spaces align seamlessly with the principles of sustainability and resource optimization. Co-working offices reduce the need for individual office setups, minimizing the environmental impact associated with construction, energy consumption, and waste generation. Communal living spaces often incorporate eco-friendly features, shared amenities, and a focus on responsible resource usage, making them more sustainable alternatives to traditional housing.

    Financial Advantages:

Beyond the social and environmental benefits, shared spaces also offer significant financial advantages. Co-working spaces eliminate the need for long-term leases and hefty setup costs, providing cost-effective solutions for businesses and entrepreneurs. Communal living spaces often offer more affordable housing options, enabling residents to enjoy shared amenities and lower living expenses.

    The Way Forward

If anyone had told me in January, when we were finalizing our Spring Fling Community Event, March Madness Renewal Spree and planning for the rest of 2020, that we’d be facing the current crises I would have laughed. I would have laughed because we were ready to launch a 2020 full of Community Building!

But that’s not our reality right now. It’s not our normal.

Right now, our normal, your normal… is not normal.

I know this is trying for all of us. The uncertainty of what the way forward will look like is taxing on everyone…

We certainly seem to be hovering at the peak of COVID-19 but there’s no clarity how long that will last or at this point, when the province will start to implement their plan to reopen the economy following their 3 phase road map. This is the link for the Ontario plan if you haven’t already seen it https://files.ontario.ca/mof-framework-for-reopening-our-province-en-2020-04-27.pdf

Doug Ford has outlined a plan but has left the start date vague and dependent on the curve presumably over the next couple weeks.

The truth is, without a clear picture on a start date for these guidelines for Ontario opening, it’s a difficult situation for everyone in the community.

This is an incredibly fluid situation and seems to change daily. Our first priority will always be the health and safety of our community.

Stick with us, stay home, stay safe.
